In honor of Law Day, the Roanoke Paralegal Association and the ABA's Division for Public Education are hosting special events that are free and informative. ANU students are personally invited.
- Roanoke Paralegal Association has offered to host a virtual "Lunch and Learn" on May 14. The speaker is Leah Steigler, Esq. of Woods Rogers, and she will be giving a talk on Labor and Employment Law. They will be hosting the seminar via Zoom. It is free to attend, but attendees should RSVP on RVPA's website so that we can email them the link to sign into the Zoom meeting. - Social Movement Changing America: The Legacies of the 19th Amendment, a live panel discussion on Thursday, April 30, 3:30-4:30pm ET. This year's Law Day theme, Your Vote, Your Voice, Our Democracy: The 19th Amendment at 100, aligns with the Library of Congress exhibition, Shall Not Be Denied: Women Fight for the Vote, celebrating the centennial of the ratification of the 19th Amendment and considering its complex legacies.
