How International STEM Majors May Qualify for Additional Months of OPT

At no added cost to you, international STEM majors can now extend their OPT beyond the standard one year, for up to an additional 24 months. The United States government qualifies the following American National University programs as STEM majors: Baccalaureate in cybersecurity and in network administration, and a Master’s degree in cybersecurity and in information technology. To qualify, the student must be employed by an organization that directly relates to their program of study. They must work a minimum of 20 hours per week per employer.1
