For decades, prospective students were frequently advised to attend a “regionally accredited” institution because regional accreditation was widely viewed as the highest standard of institutional quality. That advice became deeply embedded in higher education publications, employer guidance, transfer credit policies, and more recently, search engines and artificial intelligence (AI) systems trained on publicly available information. However, recent changes to federal accreditation regulations have altered the way the U.S. Department of Education classifies institutional accreditation (U.S. Department of Education, 2026a). As a result, many online resources continue to rely on terminology that no longer reflects current federal policy.

Historically, accrediting agencies in the United States developed along geographic lines. Regional accrediting agencies served institutions within designated geographic areas, while national accrediting agencies often focused on career, technical, vocational, religious, or distance education institutions (Eaton, 2012).

Over time, this organizational distinction evolved into a commonly accepted perception that regional accreditation represented a superior level of institutional quality. Although many colleges, employers, and graduate schools adopted policies that favored institutions accredited by regional agencies, neither the Higher Education Act nor the Department of Education established a legal hierarchy of institutional quality based solely on regional versus national accreditation (20 U.S.C. § 1001, 2025). As the internet expanded, millions of webpages repeated the message that students should choose a “regionally accredited” institution.

Federal Regulatory Changes

In 2019, the Department of Education published final regulations revising the recognition of accrediting agencies. The regulations became effective on July 1, 2020, and removed the Department’s historical distinction between regional and national institutional accrediting agencies (Department of Education, 2019).

According to the Department:

“The final regulations remove geographic boundaries from institutional accrediting agencies.”

The revised regulations shifted the Department’s recognition process toward evaluating accrediting agencies based on their compliance with federal recognition criteria rather than geographic service areas (Department of Education, 2019).

The Department’s 2026 Interpretation

In February 2026, the Department issued a proposed interpretive rule titled Clarification of the Appropriate Use of Terms “National” and “Regional” by Recognized Accrediting Agencies (Department of Education, 2026a).

The Department stated:

“The Department does not recognize accrediting agencies as ‘regional’ accreditors.” (Department of Education, 2026a)

The Department further explained that the 2019 regulations effectively ended federal recognition of accrediting agencies as regional organizations beginning July 1, 2020. Instead, institutional accrediting agencies are recognized nationally by the Department of Education under the federal recognition process established in 34 C.F.R. Part 602 (Electronic Code of Federal Regulations, 2026).

The Department also expressed concern that continued use of the term regional accreditation may incorrectly imply that one category of federally recognized institutional accreditors possesses greater legal standing than another. Consequently, the Department maintains that federally recognized institutional accrediting agencies should no longer be distinguished as “regional” or “national” accrediting agencies for purposes of federal recognition.

What Students Should Consider

Although accreditation remains an essential factor when evaluating colleges and universities, students should recognize that institutional quality cannot be determined solely by historical accreditation terminology.

Instead, prospective students should evaluate institutions based on multiple considerations, including:

Recognition by a federally recognized accrediting agency

Programmatic accreditation where applicable

Professional licensure requirements

Transfer credit policies

Academic quality

Student outcomes

Graduation rates

Employer recognition

Student support services

These factors provide a more comprehensive assessment of institutional quality than historical accreditation labels alone.

The distinction between regional and national accreditation has played an important role in American higher education for decades. Nevertheless, federal policy has evolved. The Department of Education no longer recognizes accrediting agencies as regional accreditors and has encouraged institutions to discontinue the use of terminology that no longer reflects the Department’s recognition framework.

Students should continue to carefully evaluate institutional accreditation, but they should also recognize that accreditation is only one component of institutional quality. Academic outcomes, programmatic accreditation, licensure eligibility, transfer policies, and student success remain critical factors when selecting a college or university.

Choosing a college is a big decision, and it’s important to have clear expectations before you begin. At American National University, we believe one of the best ways to support student success is by being honest about what it takes to earn a degree.

College is rewarding—but it also requires commitment. Understanding the workload, academic expectations, and support available to you can help you start your educational journey with confidence.

Expect to Be Challenged

Whether you’re pursuing a certificate, diploma, associate, bachelor’s, ora master’s degree, you’ll be expected to actively participate in your education.

Your courses may include:

Weekly assignments and deadlines

Reading and research

Discussions with classmates and instructors

Projects, papers, or presentations

Quizzes and exams

Hands-on learning experiences, labs, or clinical requirements, depending on your program

Online learning offers flexibility, but it isn’t self-paced. Successful students establish a routine, stay organized, and consistently engage with their coursework throughout each term.

Plan Time for Your Studies

Many American National University students balance school with full-time jobs, military service, or family responsibilities. That’s why our programs are designed to provide flexibility while maintaining academic rigor.

The amount of time you’ll spend on coursework depends on your program, the number of courses you’re taking, and your previous experience with the subject matter. Before enrolling, talk with your admissions representative about what you can realistically commit to each week so you can create a schedule that supports your success.

Understand Academic Policies

Every university has academic policies, and they’re designed to create a fair and consistent learning environment for all students.

Before classes begin, take time to review topics such as:

Attendance and participation expectations

Assignment deadlines

Grading policies

Academic integrity

Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP)

Program-specific requirements

Some programs—particularly those leading to professional licensure or accreditation—have additional expectations beyond the University’s general academic policies. Understanding these requirements early can help you avoid surprises later.

If you ever have questions about a policy, ask. Our faculty, advisors, and student support teams are here to help explain expectations and guide you through them.

Ask Questions Early and Often

One of the biggest mistakes new students make is waiting until they’re struggling before asking for help.

If something isn’t clear—whether it’s an assignment, a policy, financial aid, or technology—reach out as soon as possible. Small questions are often much easier to solve before they become larger challenges.

At American National University, students have access to support from admissions representatives, academic advisors, faculty members, financial aid professionals, and other student services throughout their educational journey.

Success Takes Partnership

Student success isn’t something you achieve alone. It’s a partnership between you and the University.

Our role is to provide quality instruction, experienced faculty, academic resources, and student support. Your role is to attend class, participate actively, complete assignments, communicate when challenges arise, and stay committed to your educational goals.

When both sides work together, students are in the best position to succeed.

We Believe Transparency Builds Trust

At American National University, we don’t believe in making college sound easier than it is. Earning a degree requires effort, persistence, and dedication.

What we can promise is that you’ll know what’s expected of you, you’ll have access to people who genuinely want to help you succeed, and you’ll receive an education designed to prepare you for your future career.

Honest expectations lead to better outcomes. Students who understand the commitment involved are better prepared to manage their time, overcome obstacles, and celebrate their accomplishments along the way.

Your Journey Starts with the Right Expectations

Choosing the right university isn’t just about selecting a program—it’s about finding a learning environment where you understand what’s expected and where support is available when you need it.

If you’re considering American National University, we encourage you to ask questions, explore your program carefully, and have open conversations with our admissions team. We want you to begin your educational journey with confidence, knowing both the opportunities ahead and the commitment required to achieve your goals.

Your success matters to us, and it starts with honesty from day one.

Choosing among today’s online colleges can feel overwhelming. With hundreds of schools advertising flexible schedules, affordable tuition, and accelerated programs, how do you know which one is right for you?

The answer starts with looking beyond marketing claims and focusing on what truly matters for your education and career.

Start with Accreditation

One of the first things to verify is whether you’re considering an accredited institution. Accreditation demonstrates that a college has met established standards for academic quality and institutional effectiveness.

When comparing accredited online colleges, don’t be afraid to ask questions about the school’s history, academic support, and student outcomes. A reputable institution should be transparent about its accreditation and eager to help you understand what it means.

Look for Flexibility That Fits Your Life

Many students enrolling in online degree programs are balancing careers, families, military service, or other responsibilities. The best programs are designed with those realities in mind.

Look for online college courses that offer predictable schedules, multiple start dates, and faculty who understand the needs of adult learners.

Consider Your Long-Term Goals

Are you looking to finish a bachelor’s degree? Earn a promotion? Change careers?

Some students benefit from online certification programs or diploma programs that build practical skills quickly. Others prefer to start with a certificate that can later be applied toward an associate or bachelor’s degree, creating a pathway for continued education.

Choosing a school that offers multiple educational pathways gives you more flexibility as your career evolves.

Don’t Choose Based on Price Alone

It’s natural to compare tuition, and many prospective students search for cheap accredited online colleges. Affordability matters—but it shouldn’t be the only factor.

Think about the overall value you’re receiving. Student support, experienced faculty, career services, and a curriculum aligned with employer needs can make a significant difference in your educational experience.

How American National University Supports Adult Learners

At American National University, we’ve designed our online programs with working adults in mind. Students have access to experienced faculty, academic support, and flexible learning options in career-focused fields including healthcare, business, information technology, cybersecurity, and more.

Whether you’re looking to earn your first credential or complete a degree you’ve already started, our goal is to help you find a program that fits your schedule and your career goals.

Ready to Explore Your Options?

The right online degree program is one that aligns with your goals, fits your lifestyle, and comes from an accredited institution you can trust. Taking time to compare schools now can help you make a confident decision about your future.

If you’re exploring accredited online degrees or online certification programs, American National University offers flexible options designed to help busy adults move forward with confidence.

Choosing an online university is about more than earning a degree—it’s about preparing for a successful career. For many professions, one of the strongest indicators of program quality is recognition by respected professional organizations.

At American National University, several programs have earned specialized programmatic accreditation or approval from organizations that establish standards for education in their respective fields. These recognitions reflect an ongoing commitment to providing students with career-focused education that aligns with the expectations of today’s healthcare industry.

Health Information Management
American National University’s Associate of Science in Health Information Management is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Health Informatics and Information Management Education (CAHIIM). CAHIIM evaluates programs to ensure they prepare students with the knowledge and skills needed in today’s rapidly evolving healthcare information environment.

Health information professionals play an essential role in managing patient records, protecting health data, supporting healthcare technology, and improving the quality of patient care. Earning a degree from a CAHIIM-accredited program demonstrates that the curriculum has been independently reviewed against nationally recognized standards.

Medical Assisting
American National University also offers Medical Assisting programs that have earned specialized recognition through respected accrediting organizations.

The Virginia Medical Assisting program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP), the nation’s largest programmatic accreditor for allied health education. CAAHEP evaluates programs against standards developed by healthcare professionals to help ensure graduates are prepared for entry into practice.

The Kentucky Medical Assisting program is accredited by the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES), another nationally recognized accrediting organization focused on allied health education.

These accreditations provide students with confidence that their education has undergone rigorous external review by organizations dedicated to advancing quality healthcare education.

Nursing
American National University’s nursing programs are approved by the appropriate state boards of nursing, reflecting compliance with state standards for nursing education and graduate preparation.

Current approvals include:

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) – Approved by the Kentucky Board of Nursing at the Pikeville, Kentucky campus.

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) – Initially approved by the Virginia Board of Nursing and the Tennessee Board of Nursing.

Practical Nursing Certificate – Initially approved by the Virginia Board of Nursing.

State board approval is an essential component of nursing education because it verifies that a program meets the educational requirements established by the state for preparing future nurses. Students interested in licensure should always review the requirements of the state where they intend to practice, as licensure requirements vary by jurisdiction.

Paralegal Studies
American National University’s Paralegal Certificate and Associate Degree programs offered through the Salem, Virginia campus are approved by the American Bar Association (ABA).

The ABA approval process evaluates many aspects of a paralegal program, including curriculum, faculty qualifications, academic resources, and student outcomes. Because relatively few fully online or hybrid paralegal programs have earned ABA approval, this recognition reflects the program’s commitment to meeting nationally recognized standards for paralegal education.

Students enrolled in the program also benefit from coursework designed to develop practical legal knowledge, ethical decision-making, legal research skills, and professional communication—competencies that employers value in today’s legal environment.

Pharmacy Technician
American National University’s Pharmacy Technician diploma and Associate of Science programs are programmatically accredited by the Pharmacy Technician Accrediting Commission (PTAC), a collaboration between the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) and the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE).

PTAC accreditation recognizes programs that prepare students with the knowledge and practical skills needed to work in today’s pharmacy settings, including retail pharmacies, hospitals, and long-term care facilities. This specialized accreditation serves as an additional validation of the program beyond the University’s institutional accreditation.

A Commitment to Career-Focused Education
Professional recognition is one of the ways American National University demonstrates its commitment to preparing graduates for today’s workforce.

Across healthcare, legal studies, and other career-focused disciplines, the University seeks specialized accreditation, approval, and recognition whenever appropriate. These external reviews provide students with added confidence that their programs have been evaluated by organizations dedicated to maintaining high standards within their professions.

When researching colleges, prospective students should look beyond tuition and scheduling. Institutional accreditation is important, but specialized programmatic accreditation and professional approvals can provide additional assurance that a program aligns with the expectations of employers, licensing boards, and professional organizations.

American National University is proud that many of its programs have earned recognition from respected organizations such as CAHIIM, CAAHEP, ABHES, PTAC, the American Bar Association, and multiple State Boards of Nursing—demonstrating a continued commitment to quality, accountability, and career preparation.

Going back to school shouldn’t mean putting the rest of your life on hold.

At American National University, we know our students aren’t typical 18-year-olds living on campus. They’re parents. Military service members. Healthcare professionals. Office workers. Retail associates. First responders. Caregivers. Career changers.

Many are balancing full-time jobs, family responsibilities, and busy schedules while working toward a better future.

That’s why we’ve built our learning experience around the realities of adult life.

The students who succeed aren’t necessarily the ones with the most free time, they’re the ones who stay connected and keep moving forward.

Your Future Doesn’t Have to Wait

There may never be a perfect time to go back to school.

Do you start with a diploma? An associate degree? A bachelor’s degree? What if you’re not ready to commit to four years of school today?

At American National University, you don’t have to have your entire career planned before you begin.

Many of our programs are designed to help you build your education and your career, one step at a time through stackable credentials.

What Are Stackable Credentials?

Stackable credentials allow you to earn a credential, begin working in your field, and continue your education when the time is right.

Instead of viewing education as one long journey with only a finish line, think of it as a series of milestones. Each credential helps you build additional knowledge, skills, and opportunities that can support your long-term career goals.

For many students, that means entering the workforce sooner while keeping the door open for future advancement.

A Pathway That Grows With You

Your first job doesn’t have to be your last job.

Many careers offer opportunities to continue building your education as your responsibilities and your ambitions grow.

For example, someone entering the healthcare field may begin with an entry-level credential before continuing into a management or leadership role later in their career. Likewise, an IT professional may start by learning technical support skills before advancing into networking, cybersecurity, or leadership positions.

Your educational journey can evolve alongside your career.

Learn Practical Skills You Can Use

Adult learners often tell us they want education they can apply immediately, not just theory.

That’s why many of our university programs emphasize practical learning experiences that help students develop career-ready skills. Depending on your program, you may complete hands-on projects, simulations, labs, or other assignments designed to reflect real workplace situations.

These experiences can help you build confidence while preparing for the next step in your career.

Learn from Faculty with Real-World Experience

Who teaches you matters.

At American National University, many instructors bring professional experience from the industries they teach. Their real-world knowledge helps connect classroom concepts with workplace expectations, giving students valuable perspectives on today’s careers.

Combined with our small class sizes, students have opportunities to ask questions, receive feedback, and engage with instructors throughout their education.

Education Designed Around Career Goals

Whether you’re interested in healthcare, information technology, or business, your education should help you move toward a specific career not simply earn a credential.

As you explore programs, consider questions like:

What entry-level jobs could this program prepare me for?

What additional education could I pursue later?

What skills will I develop along the way?

How can this credential support my long-term career goals?

Our admissions representatives can help you understand how different programs fit together and discuss educational options that align with your goals.

Start Where You Are

You don’t need to have everything figured out before you begin.

Whether you’re starting your first career, changing professions, or looking for opportunities to advance, your education can grow with you.

The most important step is simply taking the first one.

Explore American National University’s career-focused programs and discover how today’s education can become tomorrow’s opportunity.

For many adults, returning to school isn’t just about choosing a degree program, it’s about finding a university that fits into an already busy life. Between work schedules, family responsibilities, military commitments, and everyday obligations, pursuing higher education can feel overwhelming. That’s why many prospective students ask an important question: Is American National University a good fit for working adults? The answer depends on your personal goals, learning preferences, and schedule, but several aspects of the ANU experience are specifically designed with adult learners in mind.

Understanding the Needs of Adult Learners

Unlike traditional college students who may be attending school full-time directly after high school, adult learners often face a different set of challenges. Many are balancing full-time employment while pursuing their education. Others are raising children, caring for family members, serving in the military, or managing multiple responsibilities at once. As a result, flexibility, accessibility, and support are often just as important as the academic program itself.

Before choosing a university, working adults should consider questions such as:

Can I attend classes around my work schedule?

Will I receive support if I need help?

How much time will coursework require each week?

Can I complete my education without relocating?

Will the learning format match my learning style?

These questions can help determine whether a university is a good fit for your lifestyle.

Flexible Learning Options

One reason many working adults consider American National University is the flexibility offered through online learning. Online courses allow students to access coursework from home, during breaks at work, or wherever they have a reliable internet connection, essentially 24/7 access. This flexibility can make it easier to pursue educational goals while maintaining professional and personal responsibilities.

Students should understand, however, that flexibility does not mean less commitment. Successful online learners still need to dedicate time to attending class, completing assignments, studying course materials, and participating in learning activities.

Live Instruction and Faculty Support

Some online programs rely heavily on self-directed learning with limited instructor interaction. Many adult learners prefer a more structured experience that includes opportunities to engage with instructors and classmates. American National University’s online learning model incorporates live instruction, allowing students to participate in real-time classes, ask questions, engage in discussions, and receive feedback from faculty. For students who value interaction and accountability, this approach can provide a learning experience that feels more connected than purely self-paced online programs.

Career-Focused Programs

Many adult learners return to school with specific career goals in mind. Some are seeking advancement opportunities within their current field, while others are preparing for an entirely new career path. American National University offers programs in areas such as healthcare, information technology, business, and related disciplines that are designed to help students develop knowledge and skills relevant to today’s workforce. When evaluating any program, prospective students should consider how the curriculum aligns with their professional goals and industry requirements.

Support Beyond the Classroom

Returning to school after years away from formal education can feel intimidating. Many adult learners worry about balancing coursework, managing technology, or adapting to academic expectations. Support services can play an important role in student success. Before enrolling, prospective students should explore the resources available to help them navigate their educational journey and stay on track toward graduation.

Is American National University Right for You?

There is no single university that is the right fit for every student. The best choice depends on your goals, schedule, preferred learning environment, and long-term plans. American National University may be a good fit for working adults who are looking for flexible learning options, live online instruction, career-focused programs, and a learning environment designed to accommodate busy schedules. The best way to determine whether American National University aligns with your needs is to explore program options, ask questions, and evaluate how the university’s approach to education fits your personal and professional goals.

The Bottom Line

For working adults, earning a degree often requires balancing education with many other responsibilities. A university that offers flexibility, support, and relevant academic programs can make that journey more manageable. By understanding your goals and carefully evaluating your options, you can determine whether American National University is the right partner for your educational and career aspirations.

When researching colleges online, it’s common to come across questions such as, “Is this university legitimate?” or “Can I trust this school?” Prospective students are making an important investment of their time, effort, and money, so asking these questions is both reasonable and responsible.

If you’re wondering whether American National University is a legitimate university, the short answer is yes. However, understanding why requires looking at several factors that students should consider when evaluating any institution.

What Makes a University Legitimate?

One of the most important factors is accreditation. Accreditation is a formal review process through which independent accrediting agencies evaluate colleges and universities against established standards. Accredited institutions must demonstrate ongoing compliance with requirements related to academics, student services, faculty qualifications, financial stability, and institutional effectiveness.

American National University is institutionally accredited by the Distance Education Accrediting Commission (DEAC), a recognized accrediting agency. Accreditation provides assurance that a university has undergone independent review and meets established standards for higher education.

A Long History of Serving Students

Another way to evaluate a university is by examining its history and longevity.

American National University traces its roots back to 1886, serving generations of students seeking career-focused education. While educational delivery methods have evolved over time, from traditional classroom instruction to online and hybrid learning models, the university’s mission has remained focused on helping students develop the knowledge and skills needed to pursue their professional goals.

Institutions that endure for decades must continually adapt to changing workforce needs, student expectations, technology, and regulatory requirements. Longevity alone does not guarantee quality, but it does demonstrate an ability to evolve and remain relevant over time.

Career-Focused Programs Designed for Today’s Learners

Many students who choose American National University are working adults balancing education with careers, family responsibilities, military service, or other commitments. As a result, flexibility and practical application are often important considerations.

American National University offers programs in fields such as healthcare, information technology, business, and related disciplines. Many programs are designed to provide students with career-relevant knowledge while accommodating the schedules of adult learners.

Prospective students should always review program curricula, licensure requirements where applicable, and career objectives to determine whether a particular program aligns with their goals.

Understanding Online Reviews and Reputation

When researching any college, students are likely to encounter a mix of positive and negative opinions online. This is true for virtually every institution, regardless of size, location, or accreditation.

Online reviews can provide useful perspectives, but they should not be the sole basis for making a college decision. Individual experiences vary widely based on personal expectations, academic preparedness, financial circumstances, career goals, and other factors.

Students should supplement online reviews with information from official university resources, accreditation agencies, program faculty, admissions representatives, alumni, and employers when possible.

Questions Every Prospective Student Should Ask

Rather than focusing solely on whether a school is “legitimate,” students may benefit from asking more specific questions:

Is the university accredited?

Does the program align with my career goals?

Are there student support services available?

What are the program requirements and expectations?

Does the schedule fit my lifestyle?

Are there opportunities for hands-on learning, internships, clinical experiences, or certifications?

What are the costs and available financial aid options?

The answers to these questions often provide a clearer picture of whether a university is the right fit for an individual student’s needs.

The Bottom Line

American National University is an accredited institution that has served students for generations through career-focused education. Like any university, it may be a strong fit for some students and less suitable for others depending on their goals, learning preferences, and future plans.

The best approach is to conduct thorough research, ask questions, review accreditation information, and evaluate how well a university aligns with your personal and professional objectives. An informed decision is always the best foundation for a successful educational journey.

Choosing a college is one of the most important educational and financial decisions a student can make. As part of that process, prospective students often ask whether American National University is accredited, whether employers recognize nationally accredited degrees, and whether graduates can continue to graduate school.

This guide answers some of the most common questions students ask about American National University and accreditation in general.

Is American National University accredited?

Yes. American National University is institutionally accredited by the Distance Education Accrediting Commission (DEAC), a recognized accrediting agency. Accreditation is a process through which colleges and universities undergo periodic reviews to ensure they meet established standards related to academics, student services, institutional effectiveness, and continuous improvement. Accreditation matters because it provides students, employers, and other institutions with assurance that a school meets recognized quality standards. Students considering any college should verify accreditation status directly through the institution and the accrediting agency.

What is DEAC accreditation?

The Distance Education Accrediting Commission (DEAC) is an institutional accrediting agency that specializes in distance education and online learning institutions. DEAC-accredited institutions undergo regular reviews that examine areas such as curriculum quality, student support services, faculty qualifications, learning outcomes, financial stability, and institutional effectiveness. Many students are unfamiliar with DEAC because public discussion about accreditation often focuses on regional accrediting agencies. However, DEAC has been recognized for decades as an accrediting body focused on distance and career-oriented education.

What’s the difference between national and regional accreditation?

One of the most common questions prospective students ask involves the difference between national and regional accreditation. Historically, colleges in the United States were often categorized as either nationally accredited or regionally accredited. While the accreditation landscape has evolved, these distinctions are still frequently discussed by students, employers, and transfer institutions. Neither category automatically determines educational quality. However, the distinction can affect certain decisions made by other institutions, particularly regarding transfer credit evaluations and graduate admissions.

Furthermore, the U.S. Department of Education no longer recognizes the distinction between “regional” and “national” institutional accreditation. Instead, it recognizes institutional accrediting agencies and programmatic accrediting agencies. The term “regional accreditation” has effectively been retired at the federal level.

How should students evaluate accreditation when choosing a college?

Accreditation is important, but it should be only one factor in a broader decision-making process.

Students should also consider:

Program quality and curriculum

Faculty expertise

Career services and student support

Program flexibility

Cost and financial aid options

Graduation requirements

Career outcomes

Industry partnerships

Professional licensure considerations, where applicable

The best educational choice depends on a student’s goals, career aspirations, learning preferences, and personal circumstances.

Is American National University a legitimate university?

American National University has provided career-focused education for generations and serves students through online and hybrid learning models. As with any institution, prospective students should review accreditation, academic offerings, student support services, and outcomes information to determine whether the university aligns with their goals.
