John Capella received a Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism with a business management minor from Ohio University. He served in the United States Air Force, where he was promoted to 1st Lieutenant, and then worked for General Motors (Chevrolet Motor Division) in various sales and marketing capacities, such as District Manager, Sales Promotion Manager, Zone Business Manager, and was promoted to the central office as National Training Manager and Business Manager. During his Chevrolet career, he received the District Manager of the Year award four times, won National Sales Activities, and was selected to attend the prestigious Wharton School of Business. John has also created his own consulting business, has worked at dealerships as Promotional and Marketing Manager, and served as Director of Marketing/Admissions Coordinator for Northwood University in Indianapolis. John currently serves as department chair for General Education at National College in Indianapolis, where he is an instructor in English Composition, Preparatory English, Written Communications, and Oral Communications. He recently received an Outstanding Instructor Award from the IAPCS and an Outstanding Service Award from National College. He is sponsor of the Indianapolis Campus Student Activity Council (SAC) and has created programs such as Attitude of the Month and Top Educator of the Term.
